<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9BGRxMtqUAZvC1oUt8Yo72_XCOQ9LERZmX8XjwPSpjEPG0TRcaRzoO6QNw_8iVTeswwovmhskVcJdY7kkVNlE63aT-7NxYyOOPwovXow0Y4MJBU7bZ9UJQEe98F6eQTSW7AFj2XZKsZ8/s1600-h/Transformation.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" style="color: #00cccc; font-weight: bold;"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5004984630806774722" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9BGRxMtqUAZvC1oUt8Yo72_XCOQ9LERZmX8XjwPSpjEPG0TRcaRzoO6QNw_8iVTeswwovmhskVcJdY7kkVNlE63aT-7NxYyOOPwovXow0Y4MJBU7bZ9UJQEe98F6eQTSW7AFj2XZKsZ8/s320/Transformation.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;" /></a><br />
The
transformation which most of us seek in the outer world involves a
major shift in our attitudes, the way we deal with each other, the way
we deal with money, with our environment, and of course our
relationships.<br /><br />There is much that each of us would need to
personally let go of, which we would need to change in our individual
lives and this is the real problem. Because we have mostly lived in a
state of emotional fear and insecurity - regardless of whether we are
politicians or social workers - we have developed ways to protect
ourselves against getting hurt, and the resulting fortresses we have
built around ourselves have effectively isolated us from each other.<br /><br />Over
the centuries this emotional fear and greed has resulted in a world
where each individual lives in a closed space and protects his little
territory, grabbing whatever is possible without regard to the others or
to the environment. Quite simply, those of us who "have", don’t want to
share our time, money and energy differently. When we find ourselves in
a close relationship, we don’t want to share each other.<span style="color: #00cccc; font-weight: bold;"><span style="color: #000099;"><br /></span></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqCI4JOJFb7M9U0QAVAgxM2fbn1Aym7-oK-qm7blHkSXQLFGMsyJXZkzP_Hyxqy_qmnzi43vI4HW2kBIiA2H_bWrlcIOehkCicK_aqG-os4xTbY2xWDNovoorp5sZAeF4HHZDu_v79Xes/s1600-h/sharing.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5006121494172715554" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqCI4JOJFb7M9U0QAVAgxM2fbn1Aym7-oK-qm7blHkSXQLFGMsyJXZkzP_Hyxqy_qmnzi43vI4HW2kBIiA2H_bWrlcIOehkCicK_aqG-os4xTbY2xWDNovoorp5sZAeF4HHZDu_v79Xes/s400/sharing.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;" /></a></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxPm2V8FSpgRN07AtRfi73AwrepMSNxBDuDpSUU6GinVWnvD4GYjEAbiloiexs-BW6tJmRDMqVXqHwGRVO3RktzBbDRa3XyrnsMXoVOqMW4bDfihE4cH0hco84Cf1yCWCcTtJL7VI-xA/s1600-h/space.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" style="color: #ffcccc;"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5004997842126177362" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxPm2V8FSpgRN07AtRfi73AwrepMSNxBDuDpSUU6GinVWnvD4GYjEAbiloiexs-BW6tJmRDMqVXqHwGRVO3RktzBbDRa3XyrnsMXoVOqMW4bDfihE4cH0hco84Cf1yCWCcTtJL7VI-xA/s320/space.JPG" style="cursor: pointer; float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt;" /></a><br />
<span style="color: #ffcccc;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></span><span style="color: black;">The
first step towards collective transformation is to create a space for
ourselves, to see the way we really behave with each other, to see the
truth of our lives and relationships. It is only by noticing where we
have gone astray, that we can begin to find the way back to each other
again.<br /><br />In turn this involves clearing a space in which genuine
learning can take place. This learning would among other things involve
looking together at the non productive, and destructive attitudes bred
in us through our conditioning so as to let go of the past.<br /><br />To
dissolve our conditioning is not an easy task, because all that we have
learnt lies so deep in us, it has become so much a part of us, that
there are times when it seems impossible to overcome. We would have to
look at many aspects of our everyday behaviour, our tendency to escape
unpleasant situations, our fear of pain, our need to control others, the
lust for power. It would mean examining our relationships with a
microscope, dusting all the corners we have left untouched due to apathy
or fear.</span><br /></span></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVqfFGZf_Gq_sNk16aS-ZU-KS_7CoXpNQJmYCYMljNIwJ8Cnr30l4_bBaa_otJqBF8XsCfEKqBLJAsrGXze1mdQMjVABzX0rKSStvbMOeIhXoD37nniefad_RigZr0IB0bMTL_k-7R1Ds/s1600-h/deepmeditation+2.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005024505283150946" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVqfFGZf_Gq_sNk16aS-ZU-KS_7CoXpNQJmYCYMljNIwJ8Cnr30l4_bBaa_otJqBF8XsCfEKqBLJAsrGXze1mdQMjVABzX0rKSStvbMOeIhXoD37nniefad_RigZr0IB0bMTL_k-7R1Ds/s320/deepmeditation+2.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;" /></a><br />
A
deeper examination of our lives, most often throws up a range of
powerful feelings like fear, hatred, guilt or shame. We feel helpless
when confronted by them. Intense exploration can result in powerful
emotions being released and this in turn can lead to pointless and
destructive arguments and struggles. Or again, as it often happens, it
can lead to an atmosphere of pseudo harmony in which balance is
maintained through strict rules of behaviour, and the agreement not to
discuss things which are uncomfortable or painful. The danger with this
is that the unpleasant feelings we try to avoid are anyway lurking under
the surface and this keeps us in a state of constant fear and anxiety.<br />
<br />
For this reason, the space in which we want to look at our deeper feelings together, needs to be maintained and protected and<span style="font-weight: bold;"> </span>this
is best done, by individuals who have worked their way through such
feelings, or at least managed to do so, to a large extent.</div>

<span style="font-weight: bold;">We are calling for a revolution!</span><a href="http://www.fredsakademiet.dk/abase/sange/greenham/_gifs/greenham85.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.fredsakademiet.dk/abase/sange/greenham/_gifs/greenham85.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /></a></div>
<br />
Dear Brothers, dear Sisters,<br />
<br />
We
are calling for a revolution. For the renewal of the r-evolution. For
the continuation of the revolution. First and foremost for an inner
revolution of course, for a revolution of love, but then also for a
revolution in the external world, for a peaceful revolution of
resistance to everything that is an obstacle to love.<br />
<br />
Aren't
we entitled to rid ourselves of governments, that do not work for the
basic human interests and rights? Does not every democratic constitution
contain the primary right to dispose of a government which deviates
from these goals? Do they not contain the right to withdraw the
government's legitimacy and to instate a new government, which will
finally act for the benefit of all human beings?<br />
<br />
And
isn't it in the interest of the population, i.e. the totality of human
beings, that military structures of any kind disappear from the face of
this planet, and that funds which are currently used for the military be
instead used for our blooming? Shouldn't these funds be used to finally
tackle the most crude problems we face, such as starvation, the lack of
clean drinking water, the education of all children, and basic health
care for all humans? And isn't it in the interest of the population,
that a new, fair monetary system would help renew our communal life?
Shouldn't we get rid of any governments or private organisations which
do not focus all their powers towards these aims?<br />
<br />
We
are calling for a revolution. For a peaceful revolution. For the joint
resistance to everything, that is not helpful and useful to us as human
community. We are calling for a passive boycott!<br />
<br />
In
doing so, we do not contradict our society and its order, but on the
contrary, doesn't today's structure of society actually contradict
everything that is just and fair?<br />
<br />
Could an effective,
common, ideally global boycott take the form of a refusal to pay any
taxes? A refusal to pay, as long as taxes are wasted for senseless
things such as military or wars or for servicing debt (i.e. serving
capital)? At least, we could transfer the percentage that is used for
these senseless things, for example 50%, into an account for the third
world and give only the receipts to the tax authorities.<br />
<br />
Is
not every community, every commune, every state, the whole world, are
we not all suffocating in debt, which strife and the servicing of
capital are costing us? Aren't we bankrupt, although we have everything,
land and life, our capacity for happiness, our capacity for work, and
all the many things, which we produce?<br />
<br />
Imagine, if one
day the community would rise up, simply cast off its debts, simply write
off its debts! Imagine, if it simply said: "We are free! We have our
life, our land, our earth! We have our work and our capacity for
happiness. We have all the many, many things, which we produce. We have
everything we need. We are blooming. We are rich.”<br />
<br />
Imagine!
Who could do something about that? Who could fight against it? Who
would fight against it? Simply get out the calculator, caluculate!<br />
<br />
How simple everything becomes, when one looks with the eyes of a child.[1]<br />
<br />
We are calling for a revolution of love. For a peaceful revolution, for a common resistance, for a passive boycott.<br />
<br />
Aren't
we entitled, even obliged, to free ourselves from governments which do
not care about the wellbeing of the people? To free ourselves from
public or private forces, which curtail human rights, which suppress and
oppress them? And aren't governments, which corruptly take care of
their own, governments, which do not work for justice relating to the
financial system, for justice about the riches of the earth, for justice
in the distribution of land and goods, aren't they governments which do
not act in the best interest of the people?[2]<br />
<br />
We are calling for a global, peaceful resistance!<br />
<br />
Why should we pay taxes to finance wars which are started by the rich and powerful to further their own interests?<br />
<br />
There
is a fatal, fatalistic wrong belief, which we all fell for. Namely,
that we cannot do anything. But that is not true. Individuals are more
powerful than all other powers, as soon as they unite, join each other
in common action. That is the power of love, the power of the new story,
which we are all waiting for.<br />
<br />
<br />
What
we need is an inner revolution, an awakening of love, of compassion, of
the spirit of community in every one. Again and again, that comes
first. Only self-knowledge will bring this awakening. But this awakening
ultimately leads to common action, which will change the world, it
leads to a complete, external revolution, a rearranging of our whole
live.<br />
<br />
We have almost no glimpse of the wonder, of the
wonder of love, which is possible for us humans, and which we could and
will effect on our planet. We are waiting for it to bloom.<br />

Dear fellow human beings,<br />
<br />
A second letter to the
world wants to follow the first, to spell out the concerns of the
silent and suffering majority of the human community. The great thing
about finding oneself in the position of the disadvantaged and powerless
is that at least one does not have to hold back in making demands. Of
course, while doing this it is already understood and accepted that
most likely these will never be met.<br />
<br />
The demands of the
large NGO’s (non-governmental organisations) are not enough. Eg.
Fighting for a tax on speculative investment capital (Attac), for the
immediate and complete cancellation of debt for third world countries
(Jubilé 2000); a reassessment of the “terms of trade” (Third World
Network); against malnutrition and hunger (Action Contre la Faime
(ACF)); against the exploitation of workers (Jobs with Justice); for the
rights of those imprisoned (Amnesty International), for the rights of
children or women or whatever. To us all, these causes appear
absolutely necessary and honourable, but definitely too partial.<br />
<br />
We want everything, completely. We want justice and equality for all. And we want it now.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
To
be specific, as a first measure to address a most pressing need, why
should a global Foundation not be able to raise 80 billion dollars
annually for the next ten years, which according to the United Nations
Development Program (UNDP, 2004) is what is needed to ensure that every
human being on earth has access to sufficient food, clean drinking
water (including sanitary infrastructure), basic schooling, and
healthcare (including gynaecological treatment for women)? If we
recognise and respect the fact that we manage to raise 1000 billion
dollars worldwide on an annual basis, for military expenses, most of
which at the moment is spent on the world war against terror, which in
fact is mainly a war against the poor and hungry, then it should be
conceivable and possible for well-meaning forces on earth to be able to
raise less than ten percent of that amount for a minimum in justice and
care.<br />
<br />
Specifically, a foundation, which acts, thinks,
and has compassion on a global scale, should try to channel and combine
all positive powers, all powers of opposition and resistance, the power
of existing organisations and associations in the private and public
sphere, in order to complete this minimum deed of solidarity.<br />
<br />
In
addition to this, and besides a total cancellation of debt of all human
beings and countries, and not just in the third world - and besides
all other previously mentioned adjustments - we demand first and with
immediate effect a reform of land ownership (the land is public
property, but is used under private law). We also demand above all a new
monetary system (a unit - for example, a “Terra”, which has the same
value everywhere, cannot be used speculatively, and does not pay any
interest if it is hoarded). Should a Foundation, which is to be taken
really seriously, which truly represents the interests of the whole
human community, not include all these things in its activities?<br />
<br />
If
a state of total war and total chaos has now set in, we at least want
to use this state of affairs which the resulting epochal changes demand,
for a radical treatment and total renewal on behalf of the many
victims,<br />
<br />
We do not want alms, we want justice!<br />
<br />
As
the hunger does not arise only through problems connected with
globalisation, but is born mainly out of the ongoing human disposition
for war and violence, all these measures will probably not change too
much in the end. Thus finally the individual can only choose to adopt
the stance of the smiling sage towards all misery. The smiling sage
recognises, that nothing is to be done; he accepts everything, just as
it is, and recognises its congruence. Still, he does what he can do and
does not ask why. This is why he can demand, without demanding, and see
the misery without being unhappy.<br />

<span style="font-style: italic;">This is the first of three letters by Samuel Widmer addressed to fellow human beings all over the world</span><br />
<br />
<br />
Dear brother, dear sister,<br />
<br />
Dear fellow human beings all over the world,<br />
<br />
Do
we not have a task, a task in common, which is enormous and
unbelievable, for which we have all come to this planet? And doesn’t
this mission consist in materialising the fundamental oneness of all
being on earth, on our planet? The oneness out of which we all come and
into which we will unavoidably go again. And does this not imply that we
have to help allow this unity to shine through the area of separation,
so that it can reveal itself in this particular realm of the universe
which is energetically perhaps the most dense?<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Till now
we have not been too successful in fulfilling this task. Of course we
have done well in terms of technology and science, but, when it comes to
caring for each other, or to the feeling of togetherness, we are quite
backward, aren’t we?<br />
<br />
Hasn’t the time come, for us to
overcome our egoism, our restricted personal, tribal or family obsessed
thinking? To overcome thinking in terms of such concepts as nation
and state, and to open ourselves instead to an all-embracing thought
process, to compassion, which encompasses each and every thing, which
does not exclude anyone or anything and strives for a peaceful
coexistence with all things and creatures?<br />
<br />
Where are
you, brothers and sisters? Don’t you want to help with this big and
beautiful goal for which we have eventually come here? Help to finally
regenerate our earth into a place of peace, of love and of safety for
all?<br />
<br />
Weren’t we promised to each other with this intention from the very first, right from the beginning?<br />
<br />
Don’t you want to help?<br />
<br />
And
wouldn’t the steps that we need to take be quite simple and practical,
steps to initiate this regeneration? Would we not need a new, quite
simple view of things, such as one that every child could develop or
really would develop, if we only allowed it to think for itself without
subjecting it to all sorts of propaganda, or ideology?<br />
<br />
Shouldn’t
we finally find the courage to oppose the simple solution that
politicians have been offering us for centuries all over the world which
is: “War! Let’s kill the guys who are bad!” with another, maybe equally
naive message: “For once, let’s try it with love!”<br />
<br />
We
human beings love simple messages, even though we have long seen
through experience that they don’t offer solutions to anything at all.
Shouldn’t we have the courage to go for a real alternative, in contrast
to the misery which is always the same? An alternative, that could wake
up the world and polarise the spirits? Are we afraid we would be laughed
at if we were to oppose the eternal war cry with an equally naive
message?<br />
<br />
“For once, let’s try with love! Why not - at long last - with love?”<br />
<br />
Would
not a statesman of mark, a charismatic statesman, who seriously
represented this view, be able to gather the suffering masses behind
him? Such leaders however, always think they need to convince and to
gather around them, those in positions of financial power. But the poor
are far more numerous. Who could resist them if they were to stand up,
and to compel the rich minority to cooperate?<br />
<br />
“Love” as a voting motto!<br />
<br />
And then to make a concrete, practical political program out of it.<br />
<br />
What does love mean, quite concretely?<br />
<br />
Shouldn’t
we definitely address some basic things? Shouldn’t we in the first
place, plead for the de-allocation of all military budgets of all states
worldwide and use the money for different purposes? For education, for
instance, for social welfare, for the economic regeneration of the third
world? We have to do away with all armies everywhere, in all countries.
Should we not find the courage, every single country, to go ahead with
this? Unilaterally. The time for military solutions is long over. And
above all, we need the money that is wasted on it, urgently - in order
to live.<br />
<br />
And in order to bring about the conditions for
equality and justice, should we not develop above all, a totally new
monetary system, finally a pure, fair means of exchange, a Terra, for
example, which has the same, unchangeable value everywhere. A unified
currency, which cannot be speculated with, a money system which doesn’t
accumulate interest when hoarded, but instead loses its value and ages,
like all passing things do? And should not every person’s time,
regardless of where he lives, be worth the same? Should we not finally,
correct this mistake in our monetary system, this egoistic betrayal, so
that a worldwide and just blossoming would become possible? Could we
not, just by this step, protect the resources of our earth, support the
development of alternative energies and technologies, bring war and
poverty to an end, and in doing this, vanquish all injustice between man
and man, between man and woman, between region and region?<br />
<br />
If
peace and justice among human beings were merely a technical problem to
be solved, we would have done so long ago quite skilfully. Why, when it
comes to a psychological problem with which we have to struggle, do we
act so stupidly and not come out directly with the solution?<br />
<br />
With
fire and passion we should go for these things, each one for himself,
alone, knowing that we are building a more beautiful and happier, a new
world with it.<br />
<br />
Should we not stand for real
globalisation? Away with all the frontiers! Isn’t it high time for a
world government to come into being, not one based on might or power but
rather a purely organisational and administrative one? Haven’t the
structures for this been established for a long time, for instance the
United Nations and all other international structures? We would only
have to assign them the legislative competence.<br />
<br />
Of
course, as accompanying measures, other things would have to be done,
first of all a categorical reform of land ownership. The land would
belong to everyone, would be owned by the community, and private
enterprise would only put it to use. And the rent for utilising this
land, to be paid to the community, shouldn’t it go to the mothers and
children, so that the children, who are actually the children of the
whole community - and their mothers, who look after them - would finally
get the basic supplies, which they are entitled to?<br />
<br />
Would
we not also have to do away with the right of succession, which is the
background of great injustice too? If someone dies, should not
everything he possesses be returned to the community, where it belongs?
And of course we would surely also introduce an ecological tax, to
protect our earth.<br />
<br />
These outer changes alone would of
course not be of much use in the long run. We all know that. It would
rather take a new inner alignment, an awakening in every single person
for community, we would have to wake up to the fact of our belonging
together, to our responsibility to each other. So to realise this,
should we not totally reform our entire school system? And of course,
all of it all over the world. Self-knowledge! Shouldn’t training in
self-knowledge be the first topic to be introduced in every educational
programme everywhere?<br />
<br />
What’s the use of technical knowledge in the heads of individuals who do not understand themselves?<br />
<br />
Should
we not have deep insight into our self-addictive, self-centred thoughts
and feelings and awaken to the fact of our being conditioned to think
in nationalistic and tribal terms at the political level? Should we not
see the way we are culturally imprinted to be ambitious, competitive
and envious? And should we not overcome these things which are not
beautiful, in the light of self-knowledge?<br />
<br />
And have we
not received the best aids as gifts to help us - gifts which we have
however demonised and forbidden till now? Should we not finally support
the use of valuable means such as the <a href="http://abouttheinnermost.blogspot.com/2006/11/psycholytic-psychotherapy.html">psycholytical substances, those gifts of the gods</a>?
Support them both in psychotherapy and in ritualistic, spiritual and
community-building utilisations? Should we not make them accessible to
all human beings, so that they be helped for their awakening?<br />
<br />
Should
we not finally also accept “the teaching”, which over and over again
and from time to time has been imparted to us by great teachers (the
most recent ones being Don Juan Matus and Jiddu Krishnamurti) and
integrate it in ourselves? Should we not listen to them and allow
ourselves to be taught by them?<br />
<br />
Should we not finally question the <a href="http://basicindia.typepad.com/basicindia/2006/12/some_clarificat.html">taboo on incest</a>, which as basic evil lies behind all our misery, understand its effects in our life, and finally negate it?<br />
<br />
Should
we not encourage each other to do all these things and allow ourselves
to be led by them? Should not every one of us stand up for it with a
passionate and loving heart, a heart, which has been purified in the
process of self-knowledge? Should we not finally embark upon all this,
gather together for this – or at least the more mature ones among us?<br />
<br />
Dear
brother, dear sister, where are you? Don’t you want to help in this
great, wonderful and only meaningful task there is, which we are faced
with? I’m aware that most probably you will not listen to me, that maybe
you never will see, or read this letter, and if you do, you will not
accept it, will not take it seriously, will not take it to heart. The
message “Love each other! Serve each other!”, although it already
reached us two thousand years ago and has spread widely ever since,
never really became popular among us.<br />
<br />
Nevertheless I’m
writing to you, simply because it is right to do it. Simply because it
is right to try to reach you. Even if it seems hopeless, it is better to
do what to be done.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.1pt 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 100%;">The
human body is home to all thoughts feelings and actions. Intuition
always stems from the vibrations felt in the body. However we seem to
have forgotten or ignored this in our emphasis on using the mind and
concepts. Every emotion that is experienced is felt in some part of the
body. Every emotion suppressed, is lodged in some parts of the body and
each then becomes energy blocks. Real healing and transformation can
happen when one works at the level of the body and releases the energy
blocks.</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0.1pt 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 100%;">Bodywork
suggests that through awareness of the body we can gain access to the
story of our lives and to our past traumas and issues. It helps to
identify and resolve blocks which hinder us in life. A trained bodywork
practitioner for example, can tell you much about your life and
character simply by looking at the way you move or carry yourself.
Bodywork helps us to re-align our bodies and our psyches in way that
leads to greater awareness and fulfillment. It includes dance and
movement, massage, breathwork and other techniques, all of which help to
open up an entirely new range of experience in individuals.</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 42.55pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Music,
rhythm and chanting – could there be a more joyous way to
self-discovery? Sabine Bundschu brings together these three elements in
her workshop “Music Circle” specially designed for music lovers, group
leaders in all fields, educators, music teachers and therapists.</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 42.55pt; text-align: left;">
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Music
and rhythm have a way of grounding us, says Sabine, of expanding our
perception and bringing us into deep contact with ourselves and with the
others in the group. In addition, chanting gives us a special
understanding of our own voice, even while connecting us with “the
whole”. To sing whole-heartedly is to experience the healing power of
music. You don’t have to be an “expert” to enjoy this work, adds Sabine.
All it requires is curiosity and interest in learning new ways, and a
love of music and rhythm. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">Among the things we will learn and experience is “<b><a href="http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1050280635229">Taketina</a></b>”–
a meditative group process developed by Austrian born Reinhard
Flatischler, based on the use of multi-leveled rhythms. Taketina has
also been described as “rhythm for evolution, and uses the body as
instrument to guide one into inner silence.” This unique work helps us
to explore the bridge between the conscious and the subconscious mind in
a way we are not able to do in our daily life. The three rhythmic
layers are represented by vocalization, claps and steps, backed by a
drum. Taketina allows participants to move at their own pace while
exploring different levels of awareness, and to find their own way
through to their centre. It helps individuals to see where they are in
relation to the rhythm, both within and outside themselves. In turn this
helps them to discover areas where they might be out of tune in their own lives.</span></div>

<i><span style="font-family: Arial;">Sabine,
primarily an actress and a singer, has performed alongside a number of
well-known singers ranging from the German icon, Nina Hagen, to Kenny
Rodgers, Peggy March and Ron Williams. She has been a founding member of
the group “Electric Ladyland”. She has studied Taketina under Reinhard
Flatischler and the art of drumming with Glen Velez. Today she conducts workshops based on music and rhythm in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.</span></i></div>

Music,

Among the things we will learn and experience is “<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le9WepVMdnI&feature=related"><b><span style="color: #c0504d;"><span style="color: #c0504d;">Taketina</span></span></b></a>”–
a meditative group process developed by Austrian born Reinhard
Flatischler, based on the use of multi leveled rhythms.
In turn this
helps them to discover areas where they might be out of tune in their own lives.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 42.55pt 0.0001pt;">

</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 42.55pt 0.0001pt;">
Music
and rhythm have a way of grounding us, says Sabine, of expanding our
perception and bringing us into deep contact with ourselves and with the
others in the group.

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-dKxRQTfcMq3WYTbqQCjVFlfpBQgXD-Lun6YjrL7nOm-T0mtvVoldm1LHeqx52tGC-oQXuItwbQOkCxxgCo9ipavSn59bkRHFYrfwElOIiKTbYE68aI9MRjgAdVMOmv1C2fjF8hlF1g/s1600-h/innerrevol2.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" style="color: #666666;"><img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5004991129092293682" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-dKxRQTfcMq3WYTbqQCjVFlfpBQgXD-Lun6YjrL7nOm-T0mtvVoldm1LHeqx52tGC-oQXuItwbQOkCxxgCo9ipavSn59bkRHFYrfwElOIiKTbYE68aI9MRjgAdVMOmv1C2fjF8hlF1g/s320/innerrevol2.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt;" /></a>There
is this belief in most people that revolution has to do with violence,
that it is full of action, that it begins with large scale changes on
the material front which then spill over into one’s private life and
begin to change people’s attitudes everywhere. Agents of revolution are
further seen as either energetic, dapper looking businessmen or gun
slinging/slogan shouting rebels brandishing words and statements to fire
people’s imaginations and desire for victory.<br />
<br />
I
believe that there is an aspect to revolution which hardly anybody
really sees, because it is silent, it is almost invisible and doesn’t
care to dress itself up in fancy words and notions. I believe that the
true revolution starts with something inside oneself that says, I want
to listen, I need to listen.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Learning to listen to
ourselves and to each other is actually the core of the internal
revolution. It is what eventually leads us to wisdom, because wisdom
doesn’t come from the books you read or borrowed statements, but it
comes from an innate capacity to apprehend the world directly, without
an intermediary. In a way this process is more a kind of re-learning,
a way of re-educating ourselves, because what we have mostly learned
till this point, is how not to listen, how to fight off others if not
with guns then at least with a barrage of words, how to hone our
arguments in our constant attempts to prove how smart we are. We are
seldom able to listen because listening brings us into direct contact
with reality against which we spend our lives protecting ourselves, it
brings us in contact with pain, our own and that of others, which we are
constantly defending ourselves against. Listening brings us closer to
the truth, which we mostly want to run away from.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #330033; font-weight: bold;">*******</span></div>
<br />
But
if we were to start afresh, and to learn to be quiet inside, to make a
space in our minds, for ourselves and others, a space in which we could
give ourselves time to look at the world as it was rather than jumping
to conclusions about it in seconds as we normally do, a new kind of
movement would take place.<br />
<br />
Out of our preparedness to
simply look, whether at others or ourselves, at the outside world or
our inner truth, out of a simple readiness to stop the merry-go-round in
our heads and to listen, would emerge a new form of understanding. This
understanding would come from an awareness which would enable us to
actually feel and experience our connection with the world. Finally,
what makes one feel alive and can help us to function in a state of
dynamic equilibrium, is this sense of connectedness. Action on the
material level would come, not from an idea or concept “of how it
should be”, but from an organic intelligence, a feeling for what needs
to be done, pretty much the way a mother senses when her baby needs to
be fed and when it needs to be cleaned, without having to refer to a
book of rules about it.<br />
<br />
To gain access to this basic
wisdom - the wisdom of nature, which we are a part of - is the backbone
of transformation. To help people to identify the core of true
revolution is our goal. Because without it, projects started with the
best of intentions are in danger of disintegrating or ending in conflict
and power struggles. We end up losing our energy in petty quarrels
which make us increasingly cynical. The proof is in the unending battles
being fought on a daily basis, not only between political or religious
parties but between so many institutions and organisations which claim
to have humanity’s interests at heart.<br />
<br />
We realise that
the task we have on hand is a huge challenge. At the same time, we see
that to compromise on the quality of our work and on the truth will only
lead us to a dead end, and provide us with a few moments of illusionary
happiness and peace. If you happen to be among those interested in
taking part in this process get in touch!</div>

<span style="color: #333333;">Hi! I hope our regular readers are not shell shocked at the sudden change in format in this forum. But I had been working on it these last few weeks and several people who had a look agreed that it was better than the previous layout. However those of you who prefer the old look will find it in the link <a href="http://basicindia.typepad.com/">"Reflections on life and relationships by members of basicindia".</a> All is not yet lost!<br /><br />Meanwhile new articles and reflections from now on will be featured in as links at the right hand side of the page.<br /><br />Meanwhile do let me know how you feel about the change.</span><br />
